Had a great day out on West Mountain. Tim Steele, a friend from Bishop, was over for the weekend and had some unfinished business on West Moluntain in the form of The Feather (V11) which is another Hueco classic. Nick Sellars had made me two recommendation before I left England. The first was The Feather and the second I do not remember, it was a route! We warmed up at something called Between the Sheets which was probably a mistake because it was a big hike from there to The Feather which must be pretty much at the summit of West Mountain. It was worth the hike. Lots of lovely slopers, knee bars and a bit of foot off to finish. Tim got through the crux 3 times but fell trying to hold the swing on the final hard move. Bummer. After falling once on the same move I got it the go after.

After that we hiked back down the mountain and back round again to try The Scream. This is another 4 start problem which reminded me of Font. I did it from the stand up which I think is V10.

High on West Mountain, ticking classics made for a great day out.
