This summer was heavily influenced by finishing my bachelor study. That way I had little time for climbing during exams and working on my thesis. Given the bad weather that wasn't that big a problem. If you're not one of the lucky ones who escaped to South Africa or something similar you were, at least in my surroundings, plagued by humid heat and thunderstorms. Despite many hours in the lab and in front of my computer I found some time to get on the rock. I did a short trip to the neo-classic alpine crag Silvapark/Silvretta where I climbed some classics like “Niviuk” and “Zwiederwurzn”. Unfortunately I didn't find the opportunity to try harder things.

Some other times I drove to Val Daone, probably my favorite crag. Since I have started climbing there, I can't recall a summer more humid than this year. At least the mushroom collectors had fun. That way the conditions for bouldering were mainly miserable. Still I had some luck and could climb some problems I had on my ticklist, including the majestic line of “Thor”, the hard single move of “Tzu” and the almost hated reachy move at the start of “Fotti la censura”.

All in all, it wasn't a good climbing summer, but I finally got my bachelor degree, and hopefully I'll find more time. Here's a little video from Val Daone.
